In this course you will learn the difference between suboptimal and optimal breathing. You will gain a working knowledge of your respiratory diaphragm–the most important body part for breath-centered practices. I will explain the difference between Belly Breathing and Diaphragmatic Breathing. You will also learn how to wake up and free up your diaphragm with the Stimulating Breath (aka Kapalabhati).

You will learn to breathe the way the breathing system is designed to work. You will learn the difference between belly and “thoraco-diaphragmatic” breathing. You will learn to wake up, free up, and activate your respiratory diaphragm with belly-pumping Kapalabhati (the Stimulating Breath).

Joseph R. Roberson has taught yoga, breathwork, meditation, art, and transformation for over twenty-eight years. He has taught more than 5,000 classes and has trained hundreds of yoga teachers. In 2015, Roberson earned a Masters degree in Instructional Systems Development from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He earned Bachelors and Masters degrees in fine art from the Maryland Institute, College of Art in Baltimore.
